Third responds to A Vos Soins's call and 3D prints protective visors for caregivers

The coronavirus pandemic took us by heart and as with many companies, we must react to this unprecedented situation and put our means of production at the service of the fight against Covid-19.

At the origin of our approach, we responded to a movement of Nazairian makers who together wanted to help caregivers in need of protective means to exercise their essential roles in better conditions. This movement launched by Alexandre Grière, a Montoir maker, responds to the call from the nursing home care center A Vos Soins. This network then grew through the association Le Bluelab in Saint-Nazaire and to meet the growing demand for protective visors, we are contributing to our level by mobilizing our 13 3D printing machines to thereby increase the mutual aid capacity of this network. Today, no less than 2,000 visors in 3 weeks have left our workshop to mainly equip home and hospital health staff. For this, more than 34kg of material was needed for the 3D manufacturing of visor supports, thanks to the proximity and help of our suppliers who support us to best meet this high demand.

Chantiers de l'Atlantique also came into contact with our company Third, we are working together to find a solution to the protection of their 5,000 employees by equipping their safety helmets with a protective visor and thus ensuring the continuity of their activities.
